Family Online Safety Plan
Kids need family support to keep themselves safe online. Research shows that kids who talk to their parents and other trusted adults about their activities online have fewer issues with cyberbullying, online predators, etc. However, kids often do not communicate with the adults in their lives about their online activities because they fear extreme consequences, disappointment, or a lack of emotional support. Filling out the Family Online Safety Plan with your family, you lay out the rules, procedures, and consequences involved with maintaining a healthy digital family, thus removing the fear of the unknown from a child in trouble.
